UL Chi Alpha's Staff

Directors

I grew up on the West Bank of New Orleans - but it wasn't until I was a Junior (1982) at Nicholls State University that I came to full faith in Jesus Christ. Shortly after my conversion I helped pioneer Chi Alpha at NSU. Upon graduation I believed that God was calling me to stay and work with Chi Alpha at NSU. It was during this time that I met this wonderful Panamanian girl (Anabelle Elisa Garcia) - she gave her life to Jesus during this time and we were married December 14, 1985. We moved to UL (then USL) in 1987 to re-pioneer Chi Alpha. We have three children: Ana Cristina 22, Victoria Isabelle 20, Benjamin Andrew 17 and our dog Emy 84. Our family hobbies include traveling and eating out - we are anti-chain restaurant and enjoy the more ethnic the better!

Director of Women's Discipleship

Yo yo wassup? I graduated from UL with a degree in Elementary Education in 2008. The following year I did an internship with Chi Alpha at Tulane in New Orleans then moved right back home to this great city of Lafayette. I work with the female student leaders and freshmen and I love my job! Other things I like: sports, candles, clean laundry, thai food, Greece, coffee, breathing, Macs, and reading.

i-Teams and SLCC

For four years I called Louisiana Tech University Chi Alpha home while I obtained a bachelor's degree in Speech and Communications. Post graduation I packed up and moved to Pietermaritzburg, South Africa to work with Chi Alpha at the University of Kwa-Zulu Natal. After two years in South Africa, I moved to Lafayette to intern with Chi Alpha's Diversity Project. UL Chi Alpha is now where I call home! Working with the amazing iTeams and SLCC XA is now what fills my days

Director of Men's Discipleship & Outreach

Marrero, LA is my hometown but over the years I have lived in Hattiesburg MS, Athens GA and Ville Platte, LA. In 2001, I graduated from the University of Southern Mississippi with a BA in Speech Communication with a Minor in Business Administration. For the past 10 years, I have served as a career as a youth pastor, non-profit program co-founder, and as a Youth Alive Missionary. After USM, I went back to graduate school as well and received a couple of Masters degrees. I am married to my fine wife, Candice and have 2 children: Nathan (2) and a baby to be this upcoming fall. I love connecting with students here at ULL overseeing outreach on campus as well as managing Café Chi Alpha. Hobbies include anything outdoors or sports related.

Office Manager

I spent most of the last 20 years in the corporate sector before finding my true calling in the non-profit community where I am responsible for the internal operations including finances, administration and communication. It’s amazing to work for an organization that practices what they preach: in daily operations, accountability and professional resource to other campus ministries. I served in the USAF for four years, graduated from UL with a BA in English and have an Associate in Paralegal from RC. When I’m not at work you might find me coaching homeschool cheerleading, volunteering in children’s ministry, working on my novel or traveling the country with my husband, Donald, and our two teenage daughters, Trisa and Sierra. I love to meet new XA students and being a part of the Chi Alpha family!
